‘Deal done’ - Fabrizio Romano confirms Man Utd have agreed ‘four-year contract’ as first summer move completed

Man Utd are set to complete the signing of highly-rated defender Harry Amass from Watford.

According to Manchester world.uk

Manchester United have agreed a move for Watford youngster Harry Amass with the player set to sign a four-year deal at Old Trafford, according to reports.

The 16-year-old is highly rated and represents England at youth level and was named on the bench for the Hornets’ FA Cup third round loss to Reading in January, when he was still 15.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano reports the deal to bring Amass to United is ‘done’ with the player poised to sign his four-year contract this week.

The Red Devils will need to pay compensation to Watford with the player under scholarship terms with the Hornets. According to the Manchester Evening News, Amass had been offered a two-year professional contract by Watford in an attempt to keep him at the club.

He would not have been able to sign the deal until he turned 17 under FA rules. He has already featured for the club’s Under-18s and Under-21s sides.
