Celine Dion make first public appearance at Grammy awards after being diagnosed with rare neurological disorder (Video)

Popular Canadian singer, Celine Dion, has caused abuzz online as she made her first public appearance at the 66th Grammy music awards which held at the Crypto.com Arena, Los Angeles, California on Sunday, February 4.

The 55-year-old music icon stepped away from her singing career since she was diagnosed with a rare neurological disorder, Stiff person syndrome.

The disorder, ‘Stiff person syndrome’ causes muscle stiffness and spasm, including in the muscles used to sing, prompting her to cancel and postponed her shows to 2024.

In a video capturing the moments of the music event, Celine Dion, visibly emotional, could be seen walking on stage with support of her son, Rene-Charles.

She earned standing ovation from her fans and lovers as she walked to present the album of the year awards to American singer, Taylor Swift on her award, Midnights.

Giving her speech, she said, “Thank you all… I love you right back… When I say that I’m happy to be here, I really mean it from my heart”.

“Those who have been blessed enough to be here at the Grammy Awards must never take for granted the tremendous love and joy that music brings to our lives and to people all around the world.”

“And now it gives me great joy to present a Grammy Award that two legends Diana Ross and Sting presented to me 27 years ago. These are the outstanding nominees for album of the year.”
